When does “My Electricity 5.0” programme starts?

We already know the start date of the new recruitment for the My Electricity 5.0 program. Applications for co-financing for heat pumps, photovoltaics and solar collectors will be available from April 22, 2023. The launch date of the next edition of the My Electricity program was announced on Friday by the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa.

Minister Anna Moscow is fulfilling her promise made in March. The head of the ministry announced that another recruitment will be launched in April and changes to the My Electricity program will be introduced -in addition to photovoltaic installations, it will be possible to obtain funding for a heat pump or solar collector.

We are extending the My Electricity program with co-financing for the purchase of air and ground heat pumps and solar collectors for hot water. Thanks to this, the program will be a comprehensive support in the process of transforming a single-family building into a low-emission and energy-efficient house. This is our response to the most frequently reported social needs. Regardless of whether today the house is heated with gas, pellets or system heat, from April it will be possible to carry out renovations and investments that will significantly reduce the costs of heating and electricity”, said Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa.

My Electricity 5.0 how much funding?

Paweł Mirowski, Deputy Head of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, announced at the end of March that the amount of funding in the My Electricity program is to be at the basic level of funding for the Clean Air 2023 program. This means that beneficiaries will be able to receive:

  • up to PLN 6,000 for the installation of photovoltaic panels;
  • up to PLN 7,000 for the installation of photovoltaic panels extended by additional elements;
  • up to PLN 16,000 to an energy storage facility;
  • up to PLN 5,000 to a heat storage facility;
  • up to PLN 3,000 for the energy management system;
  • up to PLN 4,400 for the air-to-air pump (air conditioners equipped with the heating function);
  • up to PLN 12,600 for an air-water pump without increased efficiency;
  • up to PLN 19,400 for an air-water pump with increased efficiency; check out AURATON heat pumps
  • up to PLN 28,000 for a ground pump;
  • up to PLN 3,500 for solar collectors.

The maximum co-financing is to amount to 50% of the costs, and its value is even PLN 58,000.

My Electricity – who can participate in the programme?

Unless the rules of the fifth edition of the program change, the beneficiary of the My Electricity program may be a natural person who:

  • produces electricity for its own needs,
  • has concluded a contract that regulates issues related to the introduction of electricity generated in a micro-installation to the grid or a contract for the sale of electricity,
  • is settled in the net-billing system.

On April 14, Anna Moskwa announced on Facebook of the Ministry of Climate and Environment that the program will cover prosumers who, as at the date of submitting the application, have a connected photovoltaic micro-installation with a capacity of 2 kWh to 10 kWh and pay for the electricity produced in the net-billing system

Where to apply for My Electricity?

An application for the My Electricity program can only be submitted in electronic form through the grant application generator. To submit an application, you need a trusted profile or e-ID to verify your identity.

My Electricity or Clean Air programme?

The My Electricity and Clean Air subsidies can only be combined with the PIT tax relief for thermomodernisation. If the applicant wishes to receive funding for a RES installation, they may receive funds from only one source. Therefore, it is worth considering whether it is better for us to use the My Electricity or Clean Air program. We are looking forward to the details of the programme.

In mid-March 2023, the recruitment for the fourth edition of the My Electricity program was closed. The recruitment, which started in December 2022, was to last until the end of March. It was closed prematurely due to the exhaustion of the budget provided for the payment of subsidies. To all those who plan to receive a grant in the My Electricity 5.0 program, we suggest submitting applications quickly as soon as the call for proposals opens. Funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
