It is necessary whenever the AURATON 8000 control unit is located in a place where radio waves are restricted (e.g. in a metal cabinet).
The antenna can also be used in such places as large production buildings where the receiver is outside of the range of the transmitter, or in multi-story buildings where thick, reinforced floor slabs and walls hinder communication between the transmitter and the receiver.
